Day 1: Moshi/Arusha to Londorossi Gate to Mti Mkubwa (Big Tree)
Starting at Londorossi Gate, your journey begins with a scenic drive to the trailhead. Trekking through the enchanting rainforest, you will witness diverse flora and fauna, hiking approximately 7.5 kilometers, which usually takes around 3-4 hours. The temperature ranges from 25°C to 30°C, offering a comfortable atmosphere as you settle into Mti Mkubwa camp

Day 2: Mti Mkubwa Shira 1 Camp
The trail ascends into the heath zone, leading to the Shira Plateau. Today's hike covers approximately 8 kilometers, taking around 4-6 hours. The landscape evolves into stunning moorlands, offering breathtaking vistas of Shira Cathedral. Temperatures drop to around 15°C, emphasizing the transition to higher altitudes as you reach Shira 2 camp.

Day 3: Shira 1 Camp to Lava Tower to Barranco Camp

Descending to Barranco Camp (3,960 meters), the landscape changes dramatically, showcasing the iconic Barranco Wall. Expect temperatures around 10°C to 15°C

Day 4: Barranco Camp to Karanga Camp
Today’s trek spans approximately 5 kilometers, taking about 4-5 hours. The trail winds through stunning valleys and offers glimpses of Kibo and its glaciers. Karanga Camp (4,035 meters) is nestled on a rocky ridge, providing panoramic views of the surrounding landscapes, with temperatures averaging around 5°C to 10°C.
