As we embark on our adventure, the trail will lead us through lush rainforests, offering glimpses of wildlife and exotic flora. Our first campsite, the Big Tree Camp, awaits us as we settle in for the night surrounded by nature's serenity.
Our trek leads us to Shira 2 Camp, nestled beneath the majestic Shira Plateau. This day's hike offers magnificent vistas of the Shira Cathedral and the rugged terrain of Kilimanjaro. Take in the beauty of the landscape and immerse yourself in the unique atmosphere of the mountain.

Today, we venture into the Barranco Valley, known for its stunning scenery and challenging terrain. As we hike through the Barranco Wall, you'll have the opportunity to test your hiking skills and overcome thrilling obstacles. Arriving at Barranco Camp, located at an altitude of 13,000 feet (3,962 meters), you can relish the breathtaking sunset views and prepare for the adventures to come.
Our journey continues to the Karanga Camp, nestled on a picturesque ridge. This day's hike offers breathtaking views of the Southern Glaciers of Kilimanjaro, providing an awe-inspiring backdrop to our expedition. Take the time to acclimatize and savor the beauty of the surroundings.
We press on to Barafu Camp, our base camp for the final ascent. This campsite is strategically positioned at an elevation of 15,331 feet (4,673 meters), allowing us to optimize our chances of a successful summit bid. Rest and replenish your energy as we prepare for the most challenging part of the journey.
Today is the day you've been waiting for the day we make our way to the "Roof of Africa." In the early hours, we embark on a steep and demanding climb towards Uhuru Peak, the highest point of Mount Kilimanjaro at 19,341 feet (5,895 meters). The effort and determination required to reach the summit will be rewarded with an unparalleled sense of accomplishment and breathtaking views stretching as far as the eye can see. After celebrating our triumph, we begin our descent to Mweka Camp.
The final leg of our adventure involves descending through the lush rainforest to Mweka Gate. As we make our way down, the vibrant flora and occasional wildlife sightings will accompany us, creating lasting memories of this extraordinary journey. Upon reaching the gate, we bid farewell to our guides and porters and celebrate our successful ascent. From here, you will be transferred back to Moshi, where you can reflect on your remarkable achievement and rest before your onward journey.
