Your thrilling Kilimanjaro adventure begins at Londorossi Gate, the starting point of the Northern Circuit Route. After completing the necessary registration and meeting your experienced guides and porters, the climb commences through lush rainforests. As you venture deeper into the forest, you'll be surrounded by vibrant flora and the harmonious melodies of exotic birds. After approximately three to four hours of trekking, you'll reach Mti Mkubwa Camp, your first campsite, nestled in the heart of the dense rainforest.
On day 2, you'll continue your ascent through the rainforest, gradually transitioning into the heath and moorland zone. The trail offers glimpses of Kilimanjaro's grandeur as you climb higher. You'll reach Shira 1 Camp, nestled on the Shira Plateau, where you'll be treated to expansive views of the surrounding landscape and the glaciers adorning the mountain.
Leaving Shira 1 Camp behind, the trail leads you through the alpine desert terrain. As you make your way to Moir Hut, located at an elevation of approximately 4,200 meters (13,780 feet), you'll experience a sense of awe as the vegetation transforms and the air becomes crisper. Moir Hut offers a tranquil retreat, surrounded by the rugged beauty of Kilimanjaro.
From Moir Hut, your journey continues towards Buffalo Camp. The trail takes you through stunning landscapes, including rocky outcrops and vast alpine meadows. As you traverse this diverse terrain, keep an eye out for unique wildlife encounters, adding an element of excitement to your trek. The day concludes at Buffalo Camp, where you'll rest amidst the serene surroundings.
On day 5, you'll proceed from Buffalo Camp to Third Cave Camp, ascending further into the alpine desert zone. The trail rewards you with breathtaking views and a sense of wonder as you marvel at the vastness of the landscape. As you arrive at Third Cave Camp, nestled amidst the stark beauty of Kilimanjaro, you'll be filled with anticipation for the challenges and rewards that lie ahead.
Leaving Third Cave Camp behind, you'll continue your ascent towards School Hut. The trail takes you through the arctic desert zone, with sparse vegetation and rocky paths. As you climb higher, the air becomes thinner, and the majestic presence of Kilimanjaro looms ever closer. School Hut serves as your base before the final push to the summit, providing a serene and strategic location to rest and acclimatize.
Today marks the climax of the entire journey as you embark on a midnight climbto reach Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa, just before sunrise. Standing tall at 5,895 meters above sea level, the sense of accomplishment and awe will be indescribable. After capturing the breathtaking sunrise views, you'll begin the descent to Mweka Camp, where you'll celebrate your achievement and spend the final night on the mountain.
On the last day of your Kilimanjaro climbing tour, you'll climb from Mweka Camp through the lush rainforests, which are brimming with life. As you descend, you'll reflect on the incredible journey you've undertaken and the memories you've made. Back at Mweka Gate, you'll receive certificates to commemorate your remarkable feat before bidding farewell to the magnificent Mount Kilimanjaro.
