7 Days Popular Kilimanjaro Climb - Lemosho Route

After a nourishing breakfast, you will be driven to the Lemosho Gate, the starting point of the Lemosho Route. The trek begins through lush rainforests, and as you ascend, you will witness the captivating flora and fauna. After approximately 3-4 hours of trekking, you will reach Mti Mkubwa Camp, where you will spend the night.

As the sun rises, you will continue your climb through the heath and moorland zone. The trail offers spectacular views of the surrounding landscapes. After 5-7 hours of trekking, you will reach Shira 1 Camp, located at an altitude of approximately 3,500 meters (11,483 feet).

Today's trek takes you through the high desert plateau of Shira. As you navigate the rocky terrain, you will be rewarded with panoramic views of Kilimanjaro. After 6-8 hours of trekking, you will arrive at Barranco Camp, situated at an altitude of approximately 3,950 meters (12,959 feet).

Leaving Barranco Camp, you will conquer the famous Barranco Wall, a thrilling and challenging section of the route. Once you conquer the wall, you will traverse through scenic valleys and ridges, providing breathtaking views. After 4-5 hours of trekking, you will reach Karanga Camp, nestled at an elevation of approximately 3,995 meters (13,107 feet).

As you near the summit, the landscape transitions into an arctic desert. Your trek from Karanga Camp to Barafu Camp will take you through rocky and rugged terrain. After 3-4 hours of trekking, you will reach Barafu Camp, located at an altitude of approximately 4,673 meters (15,331 feet).

The summit day begins in the early hours of the morning. Equipped with headlamps and warm layers, you will commence the final ascent to Uhuru Peak. The climb is challenging but immensely rewarding. As the sun rises, you will reach the peak,

Standing on the roof of Africa. After celebrating your accomplishment, you will begin the Trip from Mweka camp to Mweka Gate, where you will receive your well-deserved certificate of completion.
