After a delicious breakfast at the Hotel, we embark on our thrilling adventure. A scenic drive through traditional villages and vibrant plantations leads us to the Umbwe Gate, the starting point of our trek. Our trekking team will be with you every step of the way, providing guidance and support. The trek commences with a hike through dense rainforests, immersing you in the rich biodiversity of the region. The path takes you between two pristine rivers, their gentle murmur accompanying you on the ascent. We gradually gain elevation as we make our way towards the Umbwe Camp, nestled amidst the trees and undergrowth. Today's trek takes us through rockier terrain, providing glimpses of the majestic Kilimanjaro as we ascend further. The journey will take us through the unique and awe-inspiring Senecio Forest, with its ancient and otherworldly vegetation. Today is an important acclimatization day to prepare our bodies for the higher altitudes. It allows you to rest and adjust to the changing conditions. Barranco Camp offers stunning vistas of the surrounding landscapes and is the perfect place to take in the beauty of Kilimanjaro.

As we resume our trek, we'll descend to the base of the Great Barranco Wall, an imposing 900 ft cliff. An exhilarating climb leads us to the top, and from there, we traverse hills and valleys until we reach the Karanga Valley. Today, we continue our journey to Barafu Camp via the Mweka Trail junction. Barafu Camp will be our final base before attempting the summit. Take this opportunity to rest and dine early in preparation for the summit push. The campsite also offers breathtaking views of Mawenzi and Kibo peaks. At midnight, we begin the challenging and cold ascent to the summit. The journey to Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa, is an unforgettable experience. As dawn breaks, we reach Stella Point (18,900 ft), where a breathtaking sunrise greets us. Continue to the summit of Uhuru Peak, where a sense of triumph and wonder awaits. After celebrating this remarkable achievement, we begin the descent to Mweka Hut camp, passing through Barafu Camp to have lunch. On the final day of our adventure, we collect our well-earned summit certificates. The descent continues through the lush rainforest, offering a stark contrast to the higher altitudes. As we descend through the vibrant greenery, we bid farewell to the mountain and head back to Mweka Village.
