4 Days Kilimanjaro Trekking Adventure Marangu Route

The trek begins at Marangu Gate, where you will complete the necessary registrations and meet your experienced guides and porters. As you set foot on the trail, you'll enter the lush rainforest, surrounded by an abundance of flora and fauna. The trek to Mandara Hut takes approximately 4-5 hours, covering a distance of 8 kilometers (5 miles). Upon reaching Mandara Hut, enjoy a warm meal, relax, and prepare for the next day's adventure.

After a restful night at Mandara Hut, continue your ascent towards Horombo Hut. The trail will take you through various ecological zones, including the heath and moorland. Be prepared to witness stunning landscapes and unique plant species along the way. The trek from Mandara Hut to Horombo Hut covers a distance of 12 kilometers (7.5 miles) and takes approximately 5-6 hours. As you arrive at Horombo Hut, take in the breathtaking views and savor a delicious meal.

On day 3, you will trek from Horombo Hut to Kibo Hut, located at the base of the Kibo crater. This segment of the journey involves crossing the alpine desert, where vegetation becomes sparse and the terrain becomes steeper. The trek from Horombo Hut to Kibo Hut covers a distance of 10 kilometers (6.2 miles) and takes approximately 6-7 hours. As you reach Kibo Hut, rest, hydrate, and prepare for the final push to the summit.

The most challenging and rewarding day awaits as you make your way to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro, Uhuru Peak. You will start your ascent during the early hours of the morning to witness a breathtaking sunrise from the rooftop of Africa. The trek to Uhuru Peak is physically demanding and mentally challenging but worth every step. Once you reach the summit, take a moment to celebrate your achievement before beginning your descent back to Kibo Hut and further down to the Marangu Gate.
