Your 7-Day Lemosho Route Group Joining Kilimanjaro Climbing Tour starts with a morning drive from Moshi to Lemosho Park Gate on the western side of Mount Kilimanjaro. After registration, the group will begin trekking through a quiet rainforest trail filled with fresh air, tall trees, moss, ferns, and natural forest sounds. This first day is a good chance to meet your fellow climbers, understand the group pace, and begin building team spirit. Our guides will lead everyone slowly and remind the group to walk pole pole as the body starts adjusting to altitude. Along the trail, you will enjoy lunch before reaching Big Tree Campsite, where the mountain crew will welcome the group with warm drinks, fresh food, and a friendly camp atmosphere.

Day 2: Big Tree Camp to Shira 1 and Shira 2 Campsite

After breakfast, the group will leave the rainforest and climb toward the wide Shira Plateau. The trail becomes more open as the vegetation changes from forest to heather, moorland, wild grasses, and volcanic stones. You will pass Shira 1 Camp, where the group can rest, enjoy lunch, take photos, and appreciate the open mountain views before continuing to Shira 2 Campsite. This is a longer trekking day, so group motivation becomes very important. Our guides will manage the pace carefully, support different walking speeds, and encourage everyone to drink enough water. At Shira 2, the group will enjoy hot drinks, fresh mountain food, and a peaceful evening under the open Kilimanjaro sky

Today is an important acclimatization day for the group. You will trek from Shira 2 toward Lava Tower, a famous volcanic formation and one of the key altitude points on Mount Kilimanjaro. The landscape becomes drier and rockier as the group enters the alpine desert zone. Our guides will explain the importance of climbing high and sleeping lower, while checking how every climber is feeling. After lunch and rest near Lava Tower, the group will descend toward Barranco Camp, where unique Kilimanjaro plants such as giant groundsels, lobelia, and senecio create a beautiful mountain garden. At Barranco Camp, everyone will relax below the famous Barranco Wall, share stories, enjoy warm food, and prepare for the next day.

Day 4: Barranco Camp to Karanga Camp

This day begins with the famous Barranco Wall, one of the most exciting sections of the Lemosho Route. It may look steep from camp, but it does not require technical climbing, and our guides will show the group the safest steps. This is a great moment for group encouragement because climbers support each other, take photos, and celebrate every small achievement along the way. After reaching the top, you will enjoy wide views of valleys, glaciers, and the upper slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro. The trail then crosses ridges and descends into Karanga Valley before reaching Karanga Camp. Since this is a shorter day, the group will have more time to rest, enjoy warm tea, eat well, and recover before moving higher.

After breakfast at Karanga Camp, the group will trek slowly toward Barafu Campsite, the base camp for the summit attempt. The distance is shorter, but the altitude is high, so our guides will keep the movement calm and controlled. The landscape becomes colder, drier, and more rugged, with volcanic stones and open views toward the summit area. When you arrive at Barafu, the group will rest, eat, drink warm tea, and save energy for the midnight climb. Our guides will give a detailed summit briefing, including clothing layers, headlamp use, water, snacks, cold-weather preparation, and how the group will move together toward Uhuru Peak. Hakuna Matata, the biggest challenge is now very close.

Around midnight, our guides will wake the group with hot tea and light summit food before the final climb begins. This is the most challenging and emotional day of the 7-Day Lemosho Route Group Joining Kilimanjaro Climbing Tour. The group will move slowly through the cold summit zone toward Stella Point and then continue to Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa. Our guides will stay close, encourage every climber, monitor altitude condition, and keep the group moving safely. Summit night is where group joining becomes powerful because the support, songs, encouragement, and shared energy can help climbers stay motivated. After reaching Uhuru Peak, you will take photos, celebrate together, and descend to Barafu for a short rest before continuing down to Mweka Camp.

After the final breakfast on Mount Kilimanjaro, the group will descend through the green rainforest toward Mweka Gate. This last walk is peaceful, fresh, and full of reflection after many days of climbing together. The trail passes through tall trees, moss, ferns, flowers, and wet forest paths, giving a beautiful ending to the Lemosho Route adventure. Our guides will walk with the group at a relaxed pace as everyone remembers the journey from Lemosho Gate to Uhuru Peak. At Mweka Gate, you will sign out and receive your summit certificate if you reached Stella Point or Uhuru Peak. After group photos and celebration, we will drive back to Moshi for a hot shower, good food, and a well-deserved rest after completing your shared Kilimanjaro climbing adventure.
