Day 1: Begin from Machame Gate (1800m) trek to Machame Camp (3000m).

Today is the start of your exhilarating journey to the Roof of Africa! After a hearty breakfast, you'll head to Machame Gate (1800m/5905ft), the entrance to Kilimanjaro National Park. Here, you'll complete the necessary registration and paperwork before embarking on your trek. The trail takes you through lush rainforests, filled with a variety of flora and fauna. As you ascend through the captivating scenery, you may encounter some of the unique wildlife that inhabits the area, including various bird species and the elusive Colobus monkeys. After an invigorating hike, you'll reach Machame Camp (3000m/9842ft), where you'll spend the night amidst the tranquility of the mountains.

You'll begin your ascent during the night to take advantage of the cooler temperatures and witness the breathtaking sunrise from the summit. The trek to Stella Point (5735m/18815ft) will test your determination and endurance, but the sight of the sun painting the sky in hues of orange and pink will energize your spirit. From Stella Point, you'll continue to Uhuru Peak (5895m/19,340ft), the highest point in Africa, where you'll stand on the "Roof of Africa" and savor an overwhelming sense of achievement. Spend some cherished moments at the summit, taking photographs and cherishing the memories of this remarkable accomplishment. As you begin your descent, the landscapes change once again, and you'll return to Barafu Camp for a well-deserved rest.
