After an early breakfast at the hotel, we'll drive to Machame Gate (1800m/5905ft), the starting point of the Machame Route. Once there, we'll complete the necessary registrations and formalities before entering the lush rainforest. The hike will be invigorating as you immerse yourself in the natural beauty of the surroundings. During the hike, there will be a lunch break to recharge your energy. Continue through the rainforest until we reach Machame Camp (3000m/9842ft), where you'll be greeted by stunning views of the mountain. Today's hike takes us through the moorland zone as we gradually ascend to the Shira Plateau. Enjoy a hearty lunch on the trail before continuing to Shira Campsite (3840m/12,598ft), where the views of the surrounding plains are breathtaking. Take some time to explore the area and marvel at the natural beauty surrounding you. Tonight's campsite offers a perfect vantage point for stargazing. After a few hours of hiking, we'll stop for lunch at Lava Tower (4550m/14927ft), an impressive rock formation. The altitude at Lava Tower allows your body to acclimatize before descending to Barranco Camp, situated below the iconic Barranco Wall (3900m/12,795ft). The campsite offers stunning views of the surrounding peaks, and you'll enjoy a warm and satisfying dinner before retiring for the night. Today's hike will take you below the Heim Glacier and through the picturesque Karanga Valley. As we continue, we'll connect to the Mweka route, which will lead us to Barafu Hut (4600m/15,091ft). Barafu Camp is the final base camp before attempting the summit, and we'll use this time to make our final preparations. Your experienced guides will go over the summit plan and provide you with essential tips for the hike. Enjoy a warm dinner and an early bedtime to rest and conserve energy for the summit attempt. This is the most challenging yet rewarding day of the hike. We'll start the ascent early in the morning, aiming to reach Stella Point (5735m/18815ft) on the crater rim in time for sunrise. The hike to Stella Point is physically demanding, but the breathtaking sunrise over the African plains makes it all worthwhile. From Stella Point, we'll continue to Uhuru Peak (5895m/19,340ft), the highest point on Kilimanjaro. Standing at the summit is an awe-inspiring and emotional experience that you'll cherish forever. After spending some time at the summit, we'll begin our descent back to Barafu Camp for a well-deserved rest and nourishment. Afterward, we'll continue descending to the upper forest, where dinner and water will be provided at Mweka Camp. The distance covered today will be approximately 13km/8 miles.

On this final day of the hike, we'll have a leisurely breakfast before celebrating with the guides and porters who have supported us throughout the journey. The descent to Mweka Gate (1650m/5413ft) will take approximately 4-5 hours, passing through the dense forest. Once at the gate, you'll receive your well-earned summit certificates as a memento of your achievement. We'll then transfer you back to the hotel in Moshi, where you can enjoy a hot shower and relax. In the evening, you'll have the opportunity to celebrate your successful hike and share stories with your fellow hikers.
