Our guide will organize the group pace carefully so that everyone starts together, walks comfortably, and adjusts well to the mountain environment. The trail is scenic, shaded, and full of natural beauty, making it a perfect day for group photos, team motivation, and building confidence. Today your group will leave the rainforest behind and continue toward the open moorland zone. This day is important for special groups because different members may have different walking speeds, so our guide will keep the team well coordinated and make sure nobody feels left behind. You will walk at a steady “pole pole” pace, with enough rest stops for water, snacks, photos, and encouragement. On clear days, your group may enjoy amazing views of Mawenzi and Kibo before reaching Horombo Hut. In the evening, our team will help the group settle in, enjoy warm meals, and prepare mentally for the higher sections of the climb.

The vegetation becomes very limited as the route enters the alpine desert, where the air is thinner, the temperatures are colder, and the mountain environment feels more serious. Our guide will help the group save energy by keeping a slow and controlled pace, reminding everyone to drink water and avoid rushing. This day prepares your group for the summit attempt, so teamwork, patience, and discipline are very important. You will arrive at Kibo Hut in the afternoon, have an early dinner, and rest before the midnight summit climb. Our guide will check your summit gear and explain the plan clearly so the group is ready for the most important part of the adventure.

Around midnight, your group will begin the summit attempt from Kibo Hut toward Uhuru Peak. This is the toughest and most rewarding day of the entire climb, requiring determination, teamwork, warm clothing, and strong guidance. Our guides will lead the group slowly through the cold night, offering motivation and checking how each member is feeling. The climb passes through volcanic scree toward Gilman’s Point before continuing along the crater rim to Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa. For special groups, reaching the summit together creates a powerful shared memory and a strong sense of achievement. After photos and celebration at Uhuru Peak, you will descend back to Kibo Hut for a short rest, then continue down to Horombo Hut for dinner and overnight. Our team will continue supporting the group carefully because the descent is long and tiring.

Our guide will continue to manage the pace carefully, especially because the descent can be tiring for the knees and legs after summit day.
